Several sites exist for online travel bookings. The most well known are Orbitz, Expedia, Priceline, & Travelocity. If you are specifically in need of hotel accommodations, Hotels.com offers great rates.  It is important to note, however, that the above travel sites do not offer access to some of the low cost carriers, like JetBlue. To book reservations on JetBlue one needs to visit their site directly. 

In purchasing travel online, a little well-known fact is that when booking at any of the above sites, one must pay a booking fee to the site operators. What does this mean? It means that if you find great rates on travel sites like those listed above, you can always save money by then going directly to the sites of the actual service providers (e.g. car rental, hotel, airlines, etc.) to book your reservations.
