CORVETTE

The current 2004 Corvette Z06 makes 405 horsepower. The next generation Corvette, the C6, is due as 2005 model, with the base Corvette making 400 horsepower. After it's first year of production, the Corvette program was nearly canceled after Chevy sold only 183 of the 314 1953 Corvette's produced. The 1967 Corvette offered the L88 optional engine - a 427 cubic inch monster producing in excess of 500 HP. The 1967 L88 remains one of the most sought after Corvettes in the collector's market.
